the405:I feel like for all the issues surrounding the black community, there’s no positivity. Everything is just a fight. Black women’s hair? (Weave? Natural?) There’s a fight. Obama runs for president?(Can He Win? Can’t He?) There’s a fight. Black History Month (It’s too short! We don’t pay enough attention!) There’s a fight. Bill Cosby says some stuff on black families (he’s out of line!). There’s a fight. Hip Hop (dead. Not dead) There’s a fight. Rate of blacks in the prison. Fight. Kwanzaa (It’s made up. It’s positive! It’s not inclusive. It’s stereotypical!) There’s a fight.
Man I’m tired. Why don’t we celebrate stuff anymore?
